Christian Youth Speaker: Paul Merryman

Welcome to Christian Youth Speaker, a division of Higher Motivation, Inc. The purpose of this website is to provide information about Paul Merryman, and how he can help you and your young people begin to "Live life as life was meant to be Lived!" Paul truly believes in helping people understand who they are in Christ. "A lot of people today, especially young people, are not living the kinds of lives that they should because of the opinions they have of themselves!" he says "Everyone needs to know what God really thinks of them."

How did Paul become a Christian Youth Speaker? Speaking in front of large groups may be the scariest thing on Earth for some people, but for Paul it just came naturally. He didn't have to take any classes or read any books, although he has done both of these since, he simply knew how to speak by the sheer Gifting of God. He started speaking to his college group at his home church in Euegne. Shortly there after he was asked to be the very first person to preach at a Sunday Church service at a local Juvenile Justice Center.  Since then he has spoken many, many times to hundreds of troubled youth in that Justice facility. His favorite topics to speak on are: Self-Image, Motivation, Dating and Relationships, Finding God's Purpose in Life, and How to be an Effective Christian Youth Speaker.

Paul has a passion for helping people, especially young people, realize and reach their full potential in Life. He believes a Christian Youth Speaker’s job doesn’t end with simply sharing the Word of God in an entertaining way, but with relevant and practical application of the Word. Paul believes that "Truth without application is as useless as faith is without deeds!"

While laughing and telling stories are a central part of all of his talks, his goal is to equip people not just entertain them. He uses a blend of positive motivation, Biblical truth, humor, and application filled speaking that is sure to find people wherever they are at in life. Much of his unique speaking style was developed during the 5 years of Juvenile Corrections Ministry that he spent speaking to hundreds of “troubled” youth, leading them to the Lord, and helping them turn their spotted past into a bright and powerful future.
